Summary
In this alternate universe, there are no walking dead. But sometimes the living can be so much worse.
Daryl finds his very own first friend in the forest. The two come to rely heavily on each other as the years progress and their home lives steadily get worse. Everything comes to a head when they come up with a plan to escape their terrible families and instead are met with terrible tragedy.
Will Daryl be able to accept the help he so desperately needs to save his only friend? Can they ever find peace?
