“It’s funny, Mr. Howard.”
“What’s that?”
“You’ve won a lot of awards for your work, but I’m not so sure you’re a very good actor anymore.” Lucy said.
“Is that so?” He asked, grinding his teeth a bit and slowly spinning the empty glass on the bar top. He’d been called a bad actor before, but that was by industry professionals, know-it-all critics, and gossip rags. Pretty girls at bars didn’t go around calling him a bad actor. Not that he spent much time talking to pretty girls at bars at all.
“Mhmm.” She said. “You sit there and tell me this cause isn’t worth it. That I’ll only get hurt in the end. But to me, it’s as plain as the nose on your face… You still believe in this cause. Even if it hurts you. And I think I’d like to see you get back on the horse.” Lucy smiled, then, winking over her shoulder as she called back to him, “What do you think, cowboy?”

Summary
The sink has hot water. That's a marvel unto itself. The Ghoul lets it run over his hand.
"The shower works, too," Lucy says. "I haven't checked, but if the sink works, the shower will. Vault water chips are an all or nothing situation."
"Huh."
"It's funny, seeing you standing there." Lucy sits on the bed they're supposed to share. "This is exactly like the apartment my husband and I were going to share in Vault 33." When the Ghoul looks at her, she stops cold. "Not that you're my husband. Obviously. Or that this is anything like that. Or that either of us chose to be here. Actually, you know what? I think I'm just going to test out that shower anyway."
The Ghoul chuckles.
A radstorm chases the Ghoul and Lucy MacLean into a seemingly abandoned vault, but. Well. It's Vault-Tec, after all.
