Bakugou thumps a closed fist against his chest and says, “Heart monitor.”
“What are you, fifty?”
The kid gives him an odd look, expression unreadable for just a second. “No,” he says, like he’s not sure whether he’s being teased or not. “Got my shit rocked in the war. Heart went boom.”
He splays his fingers out for emphasis, driving the point home.
“... Right.” Tony feels vaguely ill. He really should’ve done more research before having Bakugou shipped over here. “It’s beeping a lot." He tries for one of his winning smiles, the kind that made cameras flash and women swoon. "Hopefully that means you’re excited to be here?”
Bakugou grins at him, all sharp teeth. “Nope,” he says. “It means that you’re really, really pissing me off.”
Well, so much for a good first impression.

He’s been waiting so long for someone (Izuku) to declare they’ll surpass Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight that he’s allowed people to actually surpass him. Of course no one would want to compete with him! People fight to be No. 1, not No. 15. There’s already 14 people who don’t even need to declare a rivalry with him.
Katsuki knows what he needs to do.
Charm those extras. Hire those sidekicks. Open that agency. Climb those ranks. Maybe in that order, maybe not.

Summary

Even after raising two sons, Mitsuki still didn't feel like she knew what being a mother was truly like. But like every time that feeling hit, she pushed to try her best. A best that wouldn't let her turn a blind eye to a white haired boy in dirty clothes on the streets.
It had been sixteen years since Mitsuki became a mother, fifteen years since she adopted her second son, eight years since she adopted her third son, and now she watching her youngest son strive to be a hero like his brothers before him. Maybe she did know what being a mother was like after all.
