1880s. Delphine lives a slightly unconventional life in the Cantons de l'Est, having been taken in by her cousin's family after tragedy struck several years prior. The francophones, however, are increasingly numerous - drawn to the area for work and for land. The arrival of an unexpected stranger will change her life in more ways than she can imagine.
