What if Izuku doesn't come back until after two months from the final battle? Let's explore what is like for his soulmate and lifetime companion Katsuki, as he navigates the world alone for the first time, and as he gets to know again his age-long partner in crime.
Extract: "And then he sees him. Laying in the bed with a myriad of tubes coming out of him, unconscious but still tired looking, with the freckles on his higher cheekbone blending in the deep purple under-eye. Deku looks fucking dead. And shocks Katsuki to his core.
It starts as a whisper. “What the fuck? What the fuck. What. The. Fuck. What the actual fuck. What. In. The. Fresh. Hell. Of. A. Damn. Fuck.”. It turns into a heart wrenching scream. “WHAT THE FUCK, DEKU, YOU FUCKING BASTARD! WAKE UP. WAKE UP. WAKE THE FUCK UP YOU IDIOT. WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO?! WAKE UP. WAKE UP SHITTY NERD! I SAID WAKE. THE FUCK. UP. WAKE UP!”. It ends in silence.
Izuku never answers.
