Morax remembers; he has always remembered even when he had first opened his eyes as a newborn quilin. He remembered as he raged and fought, as he slayed gods and monsters alike, as he became the God of War and later the God of Contracts. He has never forgotten. But Barbatos has; Barbatos has no recollection of their previous life, of their previous entanglment. And perhaps this is a kindness he can offer him, a life free of the memories and mistakes that had ruined their first chance. If only the world was kind enough to allow them such a choice.

Summary
"Discover the truth of this world..."
Inspired by an ancient book, Lumine has put together an expedition beyond the edges of human civilization. She brings along eight companions into a strange and marvelous wasteland, searching for a great door that hides an even greater secret. But the 'truth of the world' is jealously guarded by a force beyond reckoning, and even discovering that fact can be a death sentence.
But an expedition like this is a hothouse for emotions and relationships. Kaeya, afraid of who he'll become beyond Mondstadt, pushes everybody to their limits. Albedo, so used to controlling himself, finds himself... slipping. Mona experiences terrifying self-doubt as she starts to realize fragments of the truth. And in a land where death itself is broken, Hu Tao starts losing herself while Kazuha's ghosts hunt him down. Meanwhile, Xingqiu wants desperately to protect his friends... but how?
