Summary
Jimin stared blankly at the man standing in front of him, unusually out of breath. His face was smeared in what looked like both paint and mud, running from his forehead to his cheeks, yet his eyes brightly shining with life.
His gaze swept over to his red, swollen lips then towards the ten balloons he held in one hand. Artistic failures that were made out of condoms.
Jimin pursed his lips in disbelief, "what's this?"
Yoongi glanced at his creations expressionlessly then back at Jimin, "Balloons." His voice was low. He paused, realizing how odd this was, "you said it's your birthday. There aren't any places selling balloons at this hour."
Jimin blinked, "so you used condoms?"
Yoongi nodded, unfazed, "it's your birthday."
The brown haired man tilted his head slowly and hummed, "It is." His heart seemed to race, spreading strange warmth inside him.
Yoongi hummed back, mimicking him, but Jimin could see a hint of amusement in his eyes. The older man gave the balloons over as his lips curled up, shaping a small smile that immediately stunned Jimin whose mind short circuited.
"Happy birthday, Park Jimin."

somehow, jeongguk manages to make the part of his brain not connected to his dick work enough to raise his hand, grasping onto yoongi’s a little too tightly. he swallows thickly, praying to god that his face isn’t as red as it feels when he looks yoongi in the eye again and lets out a quiet, “hi.”
(or: yoongi is a bad boy, jeongguk is a baby boy, and opposites always attract.)
