Derek had paused for a moment, thinking how they were going to defeat the king, then a question was asked by Derek, he had mentally agreed to let Avery assist him in this time of crisis and fear. It's a life or death situation where the well-being of the entire world depends on just some two Minecraft players. "Avery, what's in your inventory?"
The question had entered in Avery's mind, checking his inventory to see some moss blocks, honey blocks, netherrack, and other useless blocks. As he closed his inventory, he had little to no time to react from the act of Derek attempting to push him off the platform. But since he already closed his inventory, he had time to dodge his fist and move out of the way.

Avery took a moment to catch his breath. He gently tugged on Derek's hand, guiding him to the soft, inviting grass nearby. As they settled down, Avery's slime body spread slightly, creating a comfortable cushion beneath them. He looked into Derek's eyes, silently inviting Derek to come closer.
Derek complied, his weight sinking into the earth next to Avery. The two of them fit together effortlessly. Avery wrapped his arms around Derek, pulling him in. They both exhaled in unison as they were overwhelmed with a drug-like happiness.
In that moment, it was just Avery and Derek.
“So…then…” Avery didn’t know where to start.
“Go on.” Derek encouraged.
“Do you love me, Derek?” Avery asked shyly.
Derek was amused by the question. His hand found Avery’s, and he squeezed it lovingly.
“I wouldn’t have made this world for you if I didn’t, Avery…”
OR
An after story with a corrupted D3rlord3 and a touch-starved Avery. The two find each other and try to replicate a life they could've had together in the King's domain.

His head in his hands as he broke down for the first time since what happened.
