Aspen’s heart jolted.
Do some good.
It was the last thing Kayd had ever said to her. They had been ringing in her head in a nonstop symphony since the moment he died. It had only got louder when she escaped her father’s realm.
She tried to listen, to keep her promise to him. Everywhere she went she tried to do something good: hunting and killing a stag or a boar for that family who was too poor to afford food; making a tonic for that poor girl whose cycle had stopped too young; slaying the creature in the woods that had been terrorising the elderly farmer, killing off his livestock and his livelihood.
Was it enough? Would Kayd be proud of her, if he saw?-=+=-

Zia Zircon. The final member of Vox Machina. Her skin was made of stone. Her amethyst like eyes more enchanting than any real gemstone one could dig out of a mine. Her hair of the same hue shimmered as if it was at war with the stars themselves. She was as beautiful as an ornate statue. There in lay the problem. Such an appearance, however beautiful; did not garner love, or warmth or anything of the kind. How could anyone want to be with a monster like her? Her skin was not soft or supple, her hands were not comfortable to hold.
Zia was cursed, you could tell with just one look. Without even knowing the details of her tragic tale.
When her friends get themselves kicked out of the last tavern in Tal'Dorei, Zia thinks that's it, the group would finally split and she would be alone, but when Scanlon finds an ad on a board they decide to give their partnership one last go.
Of course, things only got more complicated from there.
