In which Buggy's fleet is attacked, and he has (more than) a bit of a breakdown. Spirals right into insanity, actually. Then Shanks finds him, and the great Red Haired Emperor finally get's a good nights rest after 20 years of insomnia. He also can't understand why Buggy's in the situation he's in, or how he's managed to piss so many people off. He just hopes that his crew on the Red Force will eventually learn to love the feral little convict their leader is so obsessed with.

Secrets, Buggy realizes, are like birds.
They can go unnoticed for days, weeks, and even decades, creeping up on you in the shadows before finally shitting right on your face.
As he stares at the roomful of teary-eyed, sniffling idiots by his hospital bed, while very pointedly avoiding the gaze of one red-haired basted that’s apparently by his bedside for two-weeks and counting, Buggy can only think of one thing.
‘It’s that fucking bird’s fault.’
Or the one time a delivery pigeon went on a strike.

Zoro wondered how long it would take for The Cook to notice. As it turned out- not long at all. In fact, the Cook was.. as usual, hyper aware of his kitchen. As Zoro made it about halfway through the bottle he’d acquired, the familiar stomping said Cook’s dress shoes would echo across the deck of the Sunny. The Strawhat Cook wore a scowl on his face, hair falling into his eyes as he came to a stop directly in front of the thief, his shadow blocking out the sun.
“...You bastard! You damned thief! Did you just assume you could walk into MY kitchen and just take whatever the fuck you want, whenever you want?” Cigarette smoke billowed out of Sanji’s flared nostrils, mimicking a dragon’s smoke– ironically. “What if I was saving that? What if I needed it for fucking dinner tonight?”
“Eh… you would have figured it out..” The response was followed by the man taking another swig of the bottle, before turning it and offering it to Sanji. “You going to take a swig while you're standing here?”
=Zoro is hiding something, Sanji is internally struggling since Whole Cake, and BOTH of them are pining idiots with danger looming in the background. I introduce to you, a Demon, Canon Divergent AU=
