Inko and Mitsuki decide to hit a drive-in milkshake shop for a midnight snack. They enjoy the peace, quiet, and comfort food......for all of twenty minutes.
Because their locations are shared with their sons, and those very same feral crotch goblins sneak off campus to crash their party.
"You snuck out of school?" Inko begins almost scoldingly.
"Tomorrow is Saturday! We were planning to visit home anyways!"
The trunk lifts open with a triumphant manic laugh. "Aha! Thought you could escape me, mother? That you could enjoy a late night treat in peace?" Katsuki shouts sarcastically, climbing into the trunk and slamming it shut from the inside. "WELL YOU WERE WRONG! WHY DON'T CRABS HAVE EYEBROWS? WHY DOESN'T DAD DRINK TEQUILA ANYMORE?!" He vaults himself over the back seat onto his back. "WHY ARE TURNIPS EVEN CALLED TURNIPS?!"

I looked around the room. That strange feeling from before nagging at me. They did all of this… for what?

I just still couldn’t believe it. I had barely just arrived. I hadn’t even done anything, major or minor. And yet…
“I refuse to let them misrepresent you any longer. Random sides can be an extremely helpful group to the system. Change is happening, and SHN has to either get with the program or fall behind in the world.”
Out of everything I could’ve expected here. It would’ve never been this. These sides keep surprising me. I had always assumed that very side outside of Molly and Lucy were out to get random sides. A hatred so expected I didn’t even consider any other possibilities were, well, possible. “Huh.” I spoke into the empty room. Turning to my side in an attempt to sleep.- Words:

But as they ran, and jumped, and sprinted... the tight feelings in his lungs only got tighter. Frowning, Mikey started slowing down, not paying too much attention even as Raph laughed at passing him.
His breaths started hitching oddly again, only this time... it was worse. A rock settled in his chest- his lungs heavier, tighter, smaller. He could feel his heartbeat rising, beating faster, louder- okay. Okay that was bad, wasn't it? Yet Mikey continued to run, even if he was slower. He could push through. It's fine. It's normal.
The change had been abrupt.
Mikey had been struggling, sure, but he had still been able to breathe as he jumped.
But then he felt his throat completely just- close.
His eyes widened, and he gasped.
He could not feel any air enter his lungs.

“Dad’s gone because of me!” He says it like it hurts because it does and tears start dripping down his face and wet Leo’s lower body, “How? How can you guys still love me? Still keep me around?!” His voice is as if sandpaper lined his vocal chords, and he practically screams it into Leo’s chest, but his next words are whispered as if a prayer, subconsciously begging for the exact opposite of the questions he asked, “Why haven’t you left?”
In other words...Mikey's been ignoring his mistakes for awhile, but the disappearance of Master Splinter dredges a lot to the forefront of his mind.

“Do. Not. Swear. In. Front. Of. The children.” Yoshi managed to get out between sobs, sniffing heavily yet again, hard enough to rattle his sinuses. Orange wailed in agreement, and to his horror Red looked as if he was going to be soon to follow, holding his own tail, and eyes wide in distress at Yoshi and Orange’s noise. Purple’s face was still buried in Yoshi’s sweater even with the addition of his brothers to the lap, and Blue simply looked delighted at all the commotion, yanking on Yoshi’s sleeve as if to make sure he didn’t miss it.
“They’re children?”
“Of course they’re children!”
