Summary
Note: This is a Harry Potter fanfic only by necessity. I don't support JKR and her beliefs. I'm also not entirely familiar with the canon material and what fanon is accepted as canon so let's see how this goes. It's also my first fic so hopefully it's not too terrible.
Trigger warning for child abuse throughout the fic.
Pandora Rosier found out she was a Seer at 5 years old. The visions were funny to her- she didn't know what they meant yet. Her blood-purist parents, on the other hand, saw her as a weapon.

The first two nights, Harry sleeps like the dead— or, well, maybe that's not the best comparison, given the number of inferi attacks reported lately.
He sleeps like a log. Like a dead log. An un-re-animated dead log. From an everyday, inanimate, non-whomping tree.
After that, Harry wakes up screaming more nights than not, and he even cries on the bad ones, which makes James cry too. In this regard, James reckons that his first week of parenting a full-grown teenage adult bears an awful lot of resemblance to parenting a newborn baby. He feels both blessed and terrifyingly out of his depth.

“Ask me.” He seethes. “Ask me the questions.” His hands close into fists at his sides as he trembles with fury.
Their mother glares back at him and snarls, “Are you prepared to take the Dark Mark and serve the Dark Lord?”
“No.” Sirius spits out bluntly.
Her eyes narrow, “Do you have any secrets that would bring shame to this family?”
Sirius hesitates, glancing at Regulus with a look that can only be read as ‘I’m sorry’-- before the truth spills from his lips. “Yes. I’m gay.”
Regulus' heart stops, then subsequently drops into his stomach. He feels like he’s floating for a moment as his brain struggles to process Sirius’ words.
Their mother’s face twists with fury. “You disgraceful–” Her voice breaks as she reaches into her robes, pulling out her wand.
Regulus braces for the inevitable, but instead of turning on Sirius, her shoulders face towards him as she raises her wand. “Crucio!”
