Time is of the essence to discover the truth, but the League soon learn that there is far more to this case than meets the eye, the likes of which threatens the entire world as they know it. Summary
Shortly after closing down the Ghost Camp, Benjamin De Sardet receives a note from Quartermaster Manfred asking him to return to New Serene. Not even a day later, Captain Vasco goes missing after walking out of the Hikmet residence due to a misunderstanding. It is only after a series of grim discoveries that they find out that the two are linked and learn what has happened. Ghosts have come back to haunt them all: Captain Rolf escaped prison and is determined to get his revenge on De Sardet and anyone who assisted him, starting with his lover. Warning: Includes a few chapters of torture. There's whump and lots of comfort at the end.

Summary
The title is a reference to Edmund Spenser’s Amoretti LXXV: ‘One day I wrote her name upon the strand’
Vasco's life has a clear horizon, his course set - life on the sea, aspirations to one day be Admiral. Until the storm, they call the Legate of the Congregation of Merchants consumes him, and bit by bit the sea alone is not enough.
This fic intends to follow De Sardet's & Vasco's story through Greedfall. The reader is advised mature content is planned for later chapters when the action picks up. Archive warnings will update accordingly.
****1st, 2nd, and 3rd chapters have received some heavy additions/edits for more context. 4th chapter is finished and starting chapter 5.
