Summary
The Grid, the legendary Tron System, has always intrigued Duo Maxwell. After years of dreaming and months of tireless work, he finally receives the final part he needs to unlock the door to the digital frontier. A blast of a digitizing laser later he finds himself in the world of his dreams. However, soon that dream becomes a nightmare as he comes to realize that his existence in this new world is both a danger to him and to the programs who reside there. “Mind telling me what this is?” Hua Cheng asked.
Curious, Xie Lian brought a hand to it, and he traced the delicate filigree that ran along the edges of the box. Hua Cheng seemed to think that he knew what it was, but he really couldn’t recall. It wasn’t until his hand laid flat on the lid of the coffer that something suddenly clicked, and it brought a mortifying memory to the surface.
All the blood quickly drained from his face, and he clutched the lid tightly enough to whiten his knuckles, too.
“You already know what this is… don’t you?” he asked meekly.
“I do,” Hua Cheng confirmed. “But I’m curious to know where you found such a thing. Won’t you tell me?”
…
Nestled within the box was that dreadful child-bearing pill that was almost gifted to Hua Cheng a while back.
Xie Lian suffers the consequences (or rather, reaps the rewards) of hanging on to one of Hua Cheng's birthday gifts.

Summary
The Earth-based Ambassador Xie Lian has been sent to negotiate for some peace on the supposedly a crime-riddled city on Ganymede. All his research directs him toward a rather infamous, difficult to pinpoint mob boss known as "Crimson Rain". Once in the city and having met this notorious boss, Hua Cheng, he finds that things don't seem quite so surface-level.
Simple ignorance or multi-faceted political scheme? Whatever it is, the budding relationship between the crime lord and upper class socialite seems strong enough to carry them through.

Astarion grit his teeth at the tought of his alleged master. Only a night ago he was ready to turn the world - atleast some of it - for his saviour. But he started to smell a whole bunch of red flags on the man and his pride was actually hurt. No one touched him like this without paying the price for it and Astarion valued himself rather much.
It was then he made a plan. He would play Cazadors game for one more day. Be his “nice little pet”, trick the man into thinking Astarion was becoming comfortable with this arrangement. Get him to feed him blood and with the strength of a well fed vampire tear Cazador down, rip open his throat, drink his blood and become a vampire lord himself. It was below him to be a mere spawn anyways and Cazador was a fucking nuisance.The first night after Astarion had been turned, Cazador had brought him to the Szarr estate, promising a place to stay and a proper meal but it quickly dawned on Astarion that Cazador exerted some kind of control over him he absolutely was not about to tolerate.
Set before the events of Baldurs Gate 3, right after Astarion becomes a vampire.
