"I've always wanted a pup," Seb's excited and emotional voice echoes from the door, causing both men on the bed to look at him with smiles. The German walks over to the bed, throwing himself on top of them. Kimi rolls over so that both the omega and the pup are protected from his weight. "We're going to take very good care of you, Charlie. I promise."

Summary
Daniel releases a breath before turning back to Max. The kid is pale, shaking like a leaf and staring past Daniel towards where his father just exited. “Max,” he goes to put a hand on his shoulder but decides against, letting the hand awkwardly fall back to his side. “Are you alright?”
“Why - why would you do that?” There's a heat behind the words Daniel hadn't been expecting.
“A thank you would suffice.” He can’t help but throw back. He’s not sure exactly what he had been expecting. Certainly not the kid to bow down and start praising his name. But he hadn’t been expecting hostility.
“Why would I- what did you do?” Panic is creeping in, and while Daniel would have expected it around the time that bright red handprint appeared on his face, now, when his father is actually gone?
---Daniel stands up for Max when Jos takes things too far. The result is... unexpected.
