    Sirius never touched Remus like that. James never touched him either. Did they touch Peter like that? Remus wasn't sure. He knew Peter certainly didn't get too close to Remus. In fact, he remembered Peter scooting away from him slightly when he sat down next to him in the Great Hall earlier.

    Now that Remus really thought about it, his friends made an effort to avoid touching him quite often. Remus's stomach lurched at that realization. His friends didn't want to touch him.

    Remus still fought against sleep. He was craving something, and he wouldn't sleep until he got it. But he couldn't figure out what he wanted. A snack? No. Water? No. He rolled over on his side in frustration, arms wrapped tightly around himself.
    “Getting sleepy, Moonshine?”
    Remus melted at the nickname. He hugged himself tighter, trying to place more pressure on his chest. It helped a little, but he still felt unsatisfied.

    The Marauders get high in their dormitory and Remus has a craving he can't satisfy. Meanwhile, Sirius hasn't called him by his actual name all night.

    "I'm crying, aren't I?" Remus' voice was soft as he smiled, his eyes wrinkling slightly as he did so.

    "You are, Love." Sirius responded with a calm yet worried tone. "Are you alright, Moony? I-I can stop if you-"

    "No," Remus cut him off, pressing his face further into Sirius' touch as he spoke. "No, please don't stop Siri."

    Sirius is overly affectionate. Remus is touch-starved but pretends he isn't.

    They learn that touch doesn't have to be traumatic, at least if it's with each other anyway.
