He let out a small laugh. Giddy despite the bizarre situation he was in.
“Just what even are you?” He knew he wasn’t getting a response, but he still asked anyway.

The moon doesn’t have any light. Instead, it reflects the light given off by the sun. Without the sun, the moon as we know it wouldn’t exist. To Yukimiya Kenyu, it was a sad thing that God designed them that way, especially when the moon was so beautiful. It followed the earth like a dutiful servant but only on certain nights would the moon be allowed to shine. Some nights the moon would never get the chance.

Summary
Ever heard of Pygmalion and Galatea? If not, the story goes that a sculptor with an eye for beauty and a disinterest in humans crafted a statue like no other. She was perfection and she was his. Our sculptor, Pygmalion, fell in love with the statue and during the festival of Aphrodite, asked for his love to be brought to life. Aphrodite agreed and thus, Galatea came to be.
Now, history doesn't often repeat, but it sure as hell can rhyme.
