One year, four months.
Approximately.
That's how long it's been since Max used the photograph to go back to the bathroom.
Since Chloe Price died.
Max isn't okay.
She's still here. Still breathing. And she's fallen into an odd friendship with (or been adopted by?) Victoria Chase, which is probably the only reason Max didn't waste away to nothing in the throes of grief. She's doing better. But she's still not okay. Victoria decides Max needs to get away from Blackwell and Arcadia Bay, and drags Max on a road trip to Sunnydale where her cousin lives to give Max some California-sun therapy. Or something like that.

Faith has been around the Scoobies for a while now and it's not getting any easier. It's clear that they don't really know what to do with her - she's too wild, too out-there. Faith is used to being the outsider - but everything changes when she meets a small, kinda mousey and unassuming young woman by saving her life from a vamp that was planning on making her into his meal for the evening. Max. And when, that same night, Max stops Faith from making a life-altering mistake, Faith can't get the awkward, stammering hipster out of her head.

Summary
So Mi is trying to live after being cured of the Blackwall's corruption, but her nights are plagued by nightmares and her days feel like every minute she spends breathing is nothing but stolen time - as if her life doesn't belong to herself, but someone else. The same someone in her nightmares. The same someone who's probably dead by now - and So Mi knows she killed her as assuredly as if she'd pulled the trigger herself.
It was supposed to be easy.
So Mi had spent so long learning how to stop caring, how to stop letting people in.
She wasn't supposed to fall in love with the woman she was going to condemn to death by her own betrayal.
Then she gets a postcard saying that V is still alive, that Johnny Silverhand is gone - but it only bought V less than half a year by the time So Mi receives the postcard.
But she's alive.
Alive.
And if V is alive...
There's only one place for So Mi to be. Only one thing for her to do.
A week and a half later she buys a one-way ticket out of Tycho Spaceport and back to Earth.
Back to V.
So Mi has an apology to give, a debt to repay, and maybe - maybe - one final confession to make.

Daenerys Targaryen was always supposed to be Queen. From the moment she could understand the spoken word, she was told she would one day be Queen.
In the final battle at King's Landing, Daenerys almost does it. She almost drowns them all in Fire and Blood when she sees one face - a face that changes everything. A simple smallfolk woman tucked into an alley, looking up at Drogon with fear naked on her face and an infant clutched to her chest. Dany, realizing just what she was about to do, flees the battlefield and breaks down, allowing her army to win in her stead.
She's Queen now. This is her moment of glorious victory. So why is she still tormented by screams of burning men and the face of a nameless mother?
Why doesn't she feel like she won very much of anything at all?
