Summary

“Tell me about yourself,” Aventurine smiled. “How does an upstanding, sweet thing like you end up in a den of moral grit and grime?”
Stelle thought carefully about her response.
“I was horny.”
“What?” Aventurine’s head nearly hit the countertop.
“I was… horny,” Stelle repeated herself, wondering if perhaps he hadn’t heard her the first time.
“I heard you the first time, darling,” Aventurine stressed. “But… you need to have a little more class than that, no?”
Stelle frowned. She never went to school. How was she supposed to have class?
In which Stelle winds up in the seedy underbelly of Penacony Golden Dream--the red light district, home to all manner of lowlifes, scoundrels, and one-night stands. She won't survive a minute there, not without a friend to lean on.
But she learns soon enough that everyone deserves as much; a shoulder to cry on, and a friend to call home.

The walls stretched as they broke into a run, he laughed as the lights became distorted and the detail in the rock smoothed out. The way ahead darkened as flecks of the world seemed to fall apart, the walls were pulled away and the floor fell out from underneath them once more. Stelle spun to face him as they headed into the void once more, there was a smile on her face. She seemed to find this fun despite everything, she stretched her arms forward as though welcoming him to join her in the fall.

Summary
After a turbulent meeting on Penacony which collapsed into a hurried week with far too many feelings on both sides. Aventurine and Stelle decided to give this relationship thing a try. Distance is never fun, especially when neither knows what the future will bring them. Aventurine decides to take advantage of his temporary leave to visit Stelle on the Xianzhou Luofu during the War Dance. Who knows, maybe this time together will bring them closer.
