Summary
Aventurine, unfortunately, has a magnetic quality to him, one that makes it hard to let him leave Sugilite’s sight.
That might be his greed though, he never wants to be parted from his most prized possessions.
Sugilite does not consider himself a gambling man, but he takes a chance, a risk (a very badly calculated risk), when he invites Aventurine along on a boring job. He tells himself it's simply for entertainment. Beaches and pools are not Sugilite's ideal way of relaxing, so what better way to fix that problem than bringing along his own pet.
But he doesn't account for how spending an entire week in Aventurine's presence will make him feel. And feeling is never a good thing when it comes to Sugilite.

Summary
It takes so, oh so much, patience and restraint for Ratio to not reach over the counter to throttle customers, or summon his fancy codex to beat them up until they could gain some common sense.
It's not his fault or anything, really! Ratio is pretty sure other previous employees have encountered someone here so foolishly idiotic that they would've decked them across the face, right? He hates this job. He prays on it's downfall actively because he has lost so many braincells here, but he needs the money.
If his next customer seems to lack common sense and a handful of normal braincells and is a pain in his bottom, Ratio will dropkick them with no shame or remorse. And get fired and/or thrown into jail instantly.

Ratio hates his job at Walmart, and the rubber ducks are hungry and need to be fed. Aventurine spawns in randomly, among other people. (Based off a fever dream I had.)

Aventurine is a religious man.
He loves and reveres the mother goddess who had blessed him and kept him alive through all the hardships of this universe. He prays to her for the safety of his people, for to find his sister somewhere thriving, for him not to be the last of his species.
As he looks at the grey haired man quietly sitting there, tall and muscular yet making himself as small as possible, he can't help but think this could be an answer to his prayers.
Those eyes are an answer to his prayers. The colour of the sands in his homeland and his favourite shade of green, shaped and formed exactly like his.

“I guess it’s your turn then, right?” Kakavasha said, ending their game of chicken, “Shoot.”
Shoot. Ha. That was a pretty apt word for the question she was about to ask. It felt just as piercing as a gunshot.
Vashara forced her voice to come out steady and not concerned, “What is the relationship between you and Jade?”
Shock flitted across Kakavasha’s face. He looked at her like she was crazy, like the question was utterly ridiculous. He had some nerve.
It was obvious Kakavasha and Jade had more of a relationship than they led on. He spoke of her constantly, and mentioned working with her all the time. And sure, maybe Vashara wanted some dirt on an IPC big wig. But Vashara was a mercenary and was doing a fine enough job researching Jade on her own. Really, she just wanted to make sure Kakavasha was safe around Jade. Or, that is, as safe as he could be with such an evil woman.
Maybe he was just surprised she had the nerve to ask.
Kakavasha was silent for a few more moments before finally, he laughed, short and uncomfortable, “Weird. It’s super weird. Okay, I think we’re done for the day!”
Vashara and Aventurine have a conversation they’ve been avoiding.
