Summary
Mulder and Scully are assigned a case involving three terminally ill patients whose deaths, though unrelated and medically explainable, share a disturbing pattern. Days after each death, letters written in the deceased’s handwriting appear, while personal belongings vanish and return without explanation, leaving grieving families desperate for answers.
When Detective Stella Gibson arrives from the UK after recognizing similarities to cases she investigated in London two years earlier, she joins Mulder and Scully in uncovering the truth behind the resurfaced pattern. Together, they are drawn into a mystery of grief, obsession, and the disturbing lengths someone will go to become part of another person’s loss.
Nearly seven years into their partnership and six months into their relationship, Mulder and Scully are still learning the balance between being partners and something more. Stella’s arrival introduces an unexpected complication when her attraction to them creates a dynamic neither anticipated. As they work together, they confront the insecurities, boundaries, needs, and vulnerabilities that come with loving each other.

Summary
This is a short post-Orison fic.
After the attack, Scully chooses to remain in her apartment. She is struggling with a profound sense of lost control in every sense of the word: Pfaster’s intrusion, the physical restraint, and even the act of killing him, which leaves her feeling displaced from her own agency. Leaving the apartment feels, to her, like an acknowledgment that Pfaster still holds a presence there, in the space that should be hers.
Mulder, in turn, decides that if she stays, he will stay with her.
That night, Scully attempts to reclaim control in a way that ultimately leaves her feeling even more hollow. In the aftermath, Mulder helps her begin to understand what control actually is, and what it is not.

Summary
In the quiet of a moonlit motel room, Dana Scully finds herself in a space she’s never been before, one that pushes at her boundaries, awakens a curiosity she’s long kept in check, and lets her feel a connection she didn’t realize she was capable of. Stella Gibson is confident, experienced, and magnetic in a way that draws Dana in, teaching her, gently, what it feels like to open herself, to want, to let go. For Dana, it’s a slow, careful exploration of her own desire and vulnerability. For Stella, Dana draws her in in a way no other woman ever has.
Between holding on and letting go, they exist in that in-between space, where restraint meets surrender, where curiosity becomes discovery, where longing becomes something meaningful. It’s an encounter that resonates, not because it promises forever, but because it matters, deeply, in the moment.
Note: This story takes place sometime between Seasons 6 and 7, before Scully and Mulder are official. It’s a PWP with tons of smut, but it also carries emotional weight. This is the first of two chapters, and I was a bit nervous to share it since it’s very different from what I usually post. If it’s well received, I’ll post the second chapter.
