**AU by iamespecter on tumblr**
After Pomni escaped from the Amazing Digital Circus, she managed to save the code of a certain AI ringmaster before the game was destroyed. Caine now resides in a tiny teeth robot, and he’s Pomni’s new roommate! Why did she agree to this? Honestly, she has bigger questions to answer. For example: How does he keep getting onto her bed at night?

Summary
“I saw the way you reacted to Will’s… speech. Not how you acted, but how it made you feel. And I understand that this might be hard to talk about, especially with someone you don’t really talk to that often, if not ever. But I just wanted to tell you – I understand. Better than you think.”
Mike looked like a deer caught in headlights. Still, he pretended to be confused. Maybe he was actually confused. Maybe he didn’t believe that there was a possibility someone could potentially see through his charades. Either way, he was scared and it showed. He was passive aggressive when he talked.
“What are you talking about?”
Robin was understanding with her tone.
“When Will was talking I saw it in your eyes. You were scared, you were upset, but you were hopeful. Hopeful about a future, a life you actually wanted. Hopeful about not being alone and not being disowned. I saw it because I get it. I get you.
Mike Wheeler, I see you. I see you.”Bookmarked by MultiversalGalaxy23

Summary
“Shit.” Mike Wheeler spoke aloud to no one. He’d spoken louder than his typewriter had ever been. He'd spoken suddenly and sharply. He’d seen his reflection in his window. His wireframe glasses were new. He hadn’t cared what they looked like on, not until he’d seen them now. Sitting in quiet mourning of what could’ve been, in isolation and unhappiness and discontentment, frowning with those goddamn glasses, Mike saw his Dad staring back at him.
He tore the glasses off and dropped them onto the desk, standing up.
No. No.
This had gone on far too long.
OR
Mike Wheeler rewrites the end of this story with a realisation that he'd been chasing what he thought it should be, rather than what he knows he needs.
Hopefully, he isn't too late.- Title from The Story - Conan Gray
