    You still remember it, like it was yesterday- the chill that ran down your spine when you saw Satoru Gojo standing at your front door on the 24th of December. He gave you a tight hug and said the words you had been afraid to hear: “Suguru is dead. I’m sorry.”

    You completely broke down in his arms that day, and he stayed to comfort you. It was the first time you had seen him in eight years. After that evening, he didn’t show himself for a couple of weeks.

    It wasn’t until February that your mother told you about the arrangement the Gojo family had made. You were set to marry Satoru in two weeks. It didn’t take long for your parents to start moving your things into your future home, praising you for finding such a nice match—whatever that meant.
