Summary
Rookie Defense Attorney Kotone Shiomi is fresh out of law school and toppled right into a trial by fire as Tatsumi Port Island is overtaken with a string of mysterious murders, all while a psychological phenomenon called Apathy Syndrome lurks in the unbelly of the town.
All of it somehow traces back her past, to one incident that caused Kotone's family to shatter, killing her parents and separating her from her twin brother. Worse still, a mysterious prosecutor, known by many as "The Reaper", seems to know more about what's happening than he's letting on...

Summary
The date is July 21st, 2012. Yu Narukami has returned to Inaba to stay with his uncle over the summer. On a trip to the Tatsuhime Shrine, he discovers a mysterious boy with headphones, a bad haircut, and a Gekkoukan High School uniform. Can he successfully befriend this miserable creature and discover the reason he's lurking around the nothing shrine in this nowhere town wearing the winter uniform of a school that's hours away in the middle of the summer?
