When Shane is unexpectedly dropped at Rick's feet one quiet afternoon, it takes some time to believe he's survived what happened at the farm. But Shane is well and truly alive and wastes no time in making his wishes known — he has every intention of reintegrating the group. Of course, not everything can be fixed immediately; Lori is dead, and both men struggle to adjust to the other's place and needs. This time, though, Shane is more than willing to try.
" I lead the group. You follow my orders, and Carl and Judith are my children. Do you get that?"
Shane's jaw is clenched now. "Yeah."
"I want you to repeat what I've just said."

Summary
Prompt from the kinkmeme [my own prompt in fact since the idea wouldn't go away]: Shane/Daryl the boys fight and Daryl doesn't mind that Shane is broader than he is. Despite both of their denial at initiating it, they begin to fight more often, each one trying to push the other until they snap and refusing to admit that they enjoy it.
After the farm gets overrun by a herd of walkers and the two of them get separated from the group the two of them have to work out their differences in order to survive both the world and each other.

Oh LOL. Only realised when I bookmarked this I've got a type. My icon & the comic-book original (aah Shane). College sweetheart, husband, partner. Even my Chinese boyfriend looked a bit like this, which was pretty genetically unlikely. And all mega-angsty. ROFL.
