Summary
It feels like Kaoru’s on the verge of death as he bursts through the hospital doors. He’s probably, no definitely, broken several laws on the way here; he definitely ran at least one red light, and he’d treated speed limits like they were advisory, rather than a hard and fast rule. It feels like he can’t breathe, the dangerous rabbit of his heart, the rising nausea, and the oppressive weight bearing down on his chest. His eyes burn with tears he refuses to shed, feeling too much like an acceptance if he does, and when he plants his palm against the reception counter his hand trembles.
“I’m here for Nanjo Kojiro,” Kaoru breathes in a rush. He hears his own words echoed and frantic in his head.
Kojiro is hit with a dose of a powerful new drug, Pollen, during a beef. Kaoru is his emergency contact, in more ways than one.

Summary
“Kaoru, I can’t wear this. I look ridiculous.”
The sleep shirt that usually swamps Kaoru is obscenely tight on Kojiro, straining thin across his pectorals. The shorts that are already way too short on Kaoru are downright indecent on Kojiro, stretched tight over the swell of his thighs, and barely covering the curve of his ass. Kaoru is ninety-nine percent sure they’d break several public indecency laws if they tried to take Kojiro outside.
Or, after an accident at the calligraphy studio, werewolf! Kojiro is forced to wear his witch! boyfriend's clothes.

Summary
"You've almost amassed enough money to free yourself, am I correct? Don't lie to me, I'll know.”
It starts, as most clichés do, with screamed obscenities and a shitty, hipster coffee shop. She's a struggling actress, having recklessly abandoned the comfortable life of brilliant child prodigy and multi-millionaire heiress to pursue her own, somewhat misguided, dreams. He's a mess of a human being; sold into the putrid underbelly of society as a child to pay off his father's debts, and dreaming only of the day he is finally able to claw his way to freedom and see his tormentor die by his hand.
It's fate, in the form of one shaggy-haired mutual friend, that brings them together to ease their mounting financial woes.
Stumbling into her bed was entirely accidental.“Then explain this to me; why is it that you're willing to sacrifice seventeen years of blood, sweat and tears for a girl you barely know?”

It begins where it ends.
With a carefully pressed black and white wedding invitation. He’s bottled up his father’s death and mother’s absences in his life well enough, now he just has to cram Shiro’s marriage in there and force the cork down. After all, the image he has cultivated for himself doesn’t allow for an overripe heart that’s puffy and bruised from a lifetime of neglect.
Objectively, Keith never stood a chance. He knows this. Unfortunately for Keith, objectivity doesn’t soothe the pain.
Or, with a wedding looming on the horizon, Keith laments his relationship with Shiro. He wants to know just how Shiro could have missed the signs all these years. It never occurs to him that Shiro might be thinking the same thing.

Summary
Bulma Briefs, heir to the inter-galactic Capsule Corp. empire, was ten years old when her father brought home the boy. “What is he?”
"A Saiyan."
It was not uncommon for her father to return from business trips with lavish presents, but they usually consisted of exotic sweets, beautiful clothes, or rare creatures to house in the menagerie. They didn't typically involve child-slaves. "Vegeta here was the prince of the Saiyans. After Lord Frieza destroyed their planet, he took the young prince as a slave. I bought him. For you.”
She wasn't supposed to start an affair with the wild alien child. She certainly wasn't supposed to fall in love with him.Bulma Briefs was never any good at following instructions.
(Or, Wuthering Heights. But in space.)

“I recall a similar practice on Vegetasei,” he looks contemplative, lost in a swarm of long-buried childhood memories.
“Oh?”
“My father would return from a purge with his men and bring my mother the finest jewels from the conquered planet."
“See, there we go! Every girl wants pretty jewellery for Christmas.”
“If my mother was extremely lucky, he'd offer her the head of the former ruler, and those who survived the battle would tell tales of the fight and boast their kill count over the celebration pyre.”
"…Well, let's put a pin in that suggestion." -
