Summary
“You look like shit.”
A red gaze sweeps Lucifer from head to hoof and back again, followed by a well-sculpted eyebrow rising pointedly.
“Yes, yes,” Lucifer says from very much not the high ground. “Pot. Kettle. I’m aware. Why do you look like shit?”
Red places his free hand on his chest, fingers spread in gentlemanly offense. “I’m merely winded from all the effort I put into saving the Pentagram from your folly.”
Uh huh. No doubt Red’s a real hero. But first, a point of clarification. “My folly?”
“When you walked straight into the most obvious ambush of all time and were used as the unwitting power source for a doomsday device that nearly killed us all.” Black-tipped ears perk forward. “Ring any bells?”
Oh, fuck him. Also, no, not really. “Well, excuse me for underestimating what you sinners are capable of. None of you have ever managed to hurt me before in all the millennia you’ve tried. I’m not used to ambushes meaning anything.”
“Hence, folly.” Red tilts his head to the side at an inhuman angle, canned laughter swelling in the background. “You’re so good at it!”

Summary
The end of the world is at hand. Members of a secretive Doomsday cult gather in an isolated compound, desperate to gain redemption before it's too late. Led by the charismatic preacher Adam and directed by enigmatic spiritual leader Sera, the Kindred know the only way to survive Armageddon is to leave their old lives behind, follow their leaders' directives, and pray desperately that they measure up. When members disappear without trace from the locked and guarded compound, well, what is that but proof of the coming apocalypse?
Lucifer knows better than anyone not to question. His actions have doomed him beyond any hope of redemption and he exists only as a warning to others, making some measure of atonement in steering others towards salvation. Yet, despite his best efforts, he cannot help but suspect that there is something else going on--something connected to Sera's visions and the portents of the coming end-days. As the only member of the kindred with no hope of salvation to lose, Lucifer decides that it's his duty to find out what is going on—a mission that is jeopardised when he is assigned a new companion, Alastor, a skeptical outsider with no regard for the rules—or his own soul.

Summary
A mark appears somewhere on a person as they grow up, usually blurred until puberty, though some will take until their late 20s to become clearly defined. It is said the mark represents the other part of your soul.
In turn of the century Louisiana, a colored child of mixed parentage was born with two marks, one on the back of each hand. While not entirely unheard of for there to be two and at birth, it was a rarity enough to have word quickly spreading around the small town. Even more rare was that both marks were fully defined, not the usual blur. One was completely indecipherable, a strange thing full of overlapping circles and lines that almost seemed to twist if stared at for too long, nausea settling at the pit of the midwife's and her assistant's stomachs. The other, most damningly, was the clear mark of the devil.

Summary
Alastor has very few problems—or at least, very few problems unable to be solved by a well-placed knife. That is, until a murder is committed by someone other than him, endangering all his carefully laid schemes. Now the police are asking awkward questions and if they don't catch this abject amateur soon, Alastor could be in actual trouble.
But homicide isn't the only mystery surrounding Pride Manor. Following the unexplained disappearance of the Duchess of Pride seven years earlier, the estate has been abandoned. The eccentric duke has vanished, leaving behind only a recalcitrant gardener and a broken-hearted daughter. Despite his best efforts to the contrary, Alastor finds himself embroiled in two generations of Morningstar drama. It's enough to drive anyone to homicide—oh, wait.
Alastor is much better at committing crimes than solving them, and even his allies would be just as happy to see him behind bars as the actual culprit. Can he detective his way out of this—or has Alastor finally bit off more than he can chew?
Inspired by the vibe of notherpuppet's RadioApple Human AU, and the art of sketchyvero and notetaker, this is intended to be some nonsense with a classic murder mystery flavour.
