Summary
Everyday Katsuki leaves Izuku a voicemail while he's teaching his class and everyday Izuku looks forward to listening to it during his lunch break.
He hasn't seen Katsuki in a while, but these recordings with little details on his life as a pro hero are at least something to look forward to.
Except one day when the voicemail is a little different than usual and Izuku's day gets thrown into a frenzy.

Katsuki Bakugou is sick. Or at least that's what everyone tells him. They say depression is a disease of the mind, but there is a cure. He can get better if he really wanted. But he doesn't.
Izuku Midoriya is sick. He has been sick for exactly 27 days, 7 hours, and 43 minutes with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). There is no cure. But God he wishes there were one.
When Katsuki’s mother makes him volunteer at the local children's hospital, his path crosses with Izuku Midoriya, a cancer patient whose time is expectedly short.

Izuku looked up as he shoved the final coil back in place with bloodied fingers. He never wanted to scoop human guts back into a body ever again after this war. Bakugo’s face was pinched in fury, jaw tight, shoulders tense. His eyes flicked down to the unconscious man under Izuku’s care and he curled his lip.
“Outside when you’re done.” He barked before retreating from the aid tent.
“Shit, what’d you do to piss off the Sarge?"

Katsuki never thought he'd see an angel, much less in the middle of some bombed out French village during an entire god damned war.
