Summary
The year is 2001, when being gay isn't really normally accepted, and the day 9/11 changed everything.
Jess Mariano, son and firstborn of famous billionaire-couple actor/director Antonio Mariano and supermodel/actress Liz Danes, is a troubled teenager who usually gets into trouble. As a result, Antonio sends him away to live with his uncle Luke Danes in Stars Hollow.
Dean Forester is forced to live with his abusive stepfather and take care of his younger sisters while battling an eating disorder and self-harm at the same time and dealing with being bullied at school for being gay.
As the boys meet, their relationship grows. What also else grows are the issues about sexuality and mental health of them. As the relationship gains more attention, the boys will have to survive being gay in a small town.
