Summary
Everane's world is flipped upside down one day when his father commands him to make for a distant city. The life that awaits him there will challenge him, and not even the craziest of his family would willingly make a home in such a place. Perhaps, though, clarity can be found in the chaos.
Hello, and to old viewers, welcome back. To new viewers, welcome. This is Crossed Wings, a fantasy story with A/B/O dynamics in the background and an author-made species of bird people taking the cast of characters. Going forwards, original work set in my Conflux setting will be the only content I produce on a regular basis on this account.
Some elements of this story may have triggering topics displayed in some way. I will be putting a content warning in these chapters beforehand in case they touch any odd subjects (slavery, homophobia, etc).
As Conflux is my own setting and its own multiverse, I will be happy to answer any questions, concerns, or whatever else about the setting itself and Crossed Wings in the comments. Sharing information is a favorite of mine and I'm always open to clearing up any confusion or providing more food for thought on the reader's part.

This story is a sequel to my previous work, Free Spirits. It is set a year after the events of the work. However, the plot and content of Free Spirits is not essential to understanding the plot of this work. You do not need to read Free Spirits to understand Wakeful Phantoms.
