    “I’m here to sell my sadness,” he says, which is true, but the look on his face makes Shouto want to explain himself, in an uncharacteristic ramble, “Kanjou buys it at 200 yen apiece, I can come back tomorrow if-”

    “No.”

    Shouto pauses, confused, tilting his head, “no?”

    “No,” the blonde says, again, with a significant amount of force.

    “I don’t-”

    But he’s already moving, unclasping Shouto’s box with a callousness that makes Shouto tense, but the way he lifts the bottle is careful and precise. For a reason he can’t explain, Shouto feels like holding his breath, like maybe if he stands still, he can be allowed to watch the stranger handle his sadness with steady hands. His fingers are shorter than Shouto’s and calloused, with nails surprisingly neat and almost dainty. His pale skin is a contrast against the churning blue of the bottles, so much so that he can’t look away. 

    In which Todoroki sells his sadness, but maybe finds a safe space within Bakugou's anger, or maybe just in Bakugou.
