Starts after S02x13, right now it's about coping mechanisms. Lucifer left for good, so someone has to bring him back, or otherwise it would be boring. He will return with a bang (and he is not in Vegas).
Actually it's a love story, but it would be no fun to let the, just return to each other and everything will be alright. They need to earn each other. And there is still the obstacle of Mom trying to return to her ex-husband. And an angry Angel od Death who might sooner or later ask herself where this one blade may be that she can't find...

The manor, sensing something new, creaked approvingly.
“So,” she said finally, looking around the entrance hall, “where do you keep the cursed family heirlooms these days? Or are they just part of the furniture?”
He gestured lazily. “Most of them are in the west wing. We kept a few in the dining room for ambience.”
“Of course. Nothing says ‘bon appétit’ like a grandfather clock that whispers death threats.”
