You were finally given an opportunity to heal from your tortures journey, but your horrors weren’t over yet. Scaramouche was defeated and became a violent and a non-cooperative prisoner of the Dendro Archon who is desperate to get on good terms with him. You end up being commissioned by the Archon herself to talk to Scaramouche and to help him realize that Sumeru’s deity isn’t his enemy. However, talking to him proves to be difficult as his violence and cruelness doesn’t cease so easily. Your family and friends are against your and Scaramouche’s relationship, especially since you keep getting more hurt with each visit. But you don’t give up so easily. Longing and hate become clashing worlds as you are forced to spend time with him, and you learn that Scaramouche doesn’t hate you as much as he claims.
Both of you wish things could be different, and both of you feel the weight of your dark history… It’s only a question of who would be brave enough to correct it.

Scaramouche is the son of the royal family, his mother is Ei, Shogun, and Empress of Inazuma
Scaramouche doesn't like her, or his duties as prince of Inazuma... or life.
He also doesn't like the constant breakdowns he has at least once a week.Ei finds out, and to save the maids from his wrath during said breakdowns, his room is off-limits to all staff whenever he has one.
[Reader] a maid in the royal castle, is not informed of this. The other maids look down on her and "make fun" by sending her to the Prince's quarters while his room is off limits in hopes to get her fired. What happens when an unsuspecting maid walks in on the His Royal Highness Scaramouche having a mental breakdown? Well, normally death, or at least serious injury and firing. But [Reader] is Autistic, and despite being scared for her life, approaches the Prince in hopes to help. After all, she knows all too well how it feels to be alone and like your mind is melting.
