Summary
Nathaniel Wesninski was eight years old when his father sold him to the Moriyamas.
At the Nest, he learns quickly what survival really costs: obedience, silence, and the careful art of not breaking where anyone can see. Tetsuji’s attention is suffocating, Riko’s promises rot into something sharp and cruel, and the only thing Nathaniel is allowed to keep is the quiet certainty that none of this is love. Even when part of him still wants to believe it is.
Years later, one broken hand and one brutal night are enough to push everything past the point of return. Nathaniel gets Kevin and Jean out.
Nathaniel stays behind.
By the time he finally crawls his way to Palmetto State, he is more scar tissue than person, terrified of hands, of men, of kindness most of all.
The Foxes think they’re getting a quiet striker with a bad attitude. What they get instead is someone who was never meant to survive the Nest. And did anyway.
But the past doesn’t let go easily.
And Nathaniel has never learned how to be loved without bleeding for it first.Bookmarked by NeilJostenLover

Summary
For five years, the wizarding world believed Harry Potter was dead.
A forged obituary. A fake death certificate. A grieving family standing beneath carefully constructed lies. Even Albus Dumbledore accepted the story and walked away, believing the Boy-Who-Lived had perished before ever reaching Hogwarts.
But Harry Potter was never dead. He just wished he were.
He was locked beneath the stairs. Beaten bloody for every mistake. Starved until hunger became ordinary. Taught that magic made him a freak and that survival meant silence. For years, he endured, kept alive under impossible odds.
Then Dudley hits him one final time.
There’s a crack of impossible magic, a burst of air, and suddenly Harry is lying in the woods at the feet of a pale angelic, blond boy with silver eyes, and for a moment Harry thinks he's finally died and gone to heaven.
Draco Malfoy doesn’t know who the broken boy is. He only knows someone hurt him badly enough that he flinches from kindness and looks at the sky like he’s seeing freedom for the first time.
And Draco refuses to leave him there to die.

Summary
Regulus Black never really held much hope for himself. He always knew he was a lost cause. He grew up being called the spare, a weakling, lonely and miserable. So really, it came as a shock to no one when Walburga and Orion Black pulled him out of Hogwarts during his third year and shipped him off to France. The change wasn't easy, and Regulus wasn't thrilled at the idea. Two years later, the first of September marked the end of his stint in France as began his fifth year. He'd left a miserable boy and come back even more broken.
James Potter had everything he could have asked for. A perfect family, an amazing group of friends, the captain of the Quidditch team, effortlessly smart, and good looking. He was the staple golden boy of the golden house. He had nothing to be upset about. Sure, sometimes the pressure got to him and he crumbled into it, slamming his fists into the wall until he saw his knuckles bleed. Sure, he got angry sometimes, enough anger to make him wake up at four in the morning and go out for runs until six so he doesn't tear the entire dorm room apart.
Or,
Regulus gets sent to school in France and comes back to Hogwarts in his fifth year with even more issues than he left!Bookmarked by NeilJostenLover

Summary
Harry was used to the pain and the abuse coming from his relatives, so used to it that he didn’t even think about being worthy of happiness, and most importantly, of being loved and cared for. Deep down inside him, Harry wished that things could change, but he knew that having hope was pointless.
After a particular incident pushed him to the verge of despair, and when he was about to give up, Harry was taken away from the Dursleys to a far better place by his newly found godparents.
Will Harry have the opportunity to take new horizons, despite being haunted by the ghosts from the past?
