Summary
It’s been a little over three years since the conclusion of their previous adventure, but Ren and Makoto are still going strong. He’s crushing it in school, he’s as tight with his friends as ever, and his infamous past is but a mere footnote in history. With just weeks left before he graduates from the Academy of Justice and Policing, Ren is almost free to direct his life exactly as he sees fit, and the anticipation of moving back to Tokyo with Makoto is just about killing him.
Alas, nothing is every easy for poor Ren. With his whole future laid out in front of him and everything to look forward to, forces beyond his control threaten to snatch everything away. Before he can make it to Tokyo, it may be more than just anticipation that kills him.

Summary
It's been two years since they last saw each other. Ren Amamiya is starting his first year at the Academy of Justice and Policing, in the capital of the Tochigi Prefecture, and Makoto, already in her third year there, is ready and waiting to welcome him to campus. With the baggage of his past still dogging him, Ren will have his hands full managing his classes, his new peers, and Makoto's new life and circle of friends.
When a series of suspicious deaths puts him in the crosshairs of the criminal justice system once again, Makoto is forced to keep him safe long enough for them to bring the real killer to justice.

“I was there when he woke up. We mostly talked about how he found me and why he’s here. He said he’s not with the First Order anymore. He said he thought the Resistance was less likely to kill him than the First Order…”
“Ha!” Poe laughed hard at this, incredulous. “*Less* likely to kill him? Wow, he must have really pissed them off to say something like that. So, what? Are you telling me he wants to join *us* now? That seems unlikely.”
Rey wasn’t sure how to say the rest, so she decided not to overthink it and just spit it out. “He says he wants to train me in my use of the Force.”
*A/N, 5/4/2022: Wrote this story after TLJ, which was by far my favorite of the sequel movies. Thought I’d give this some new life on May the Fourth, so forgive me if you’ve already read this and were looking for something new—it isn’t new. But, if you like plot and romance, and attention to detail, please check this out. May the Fourth be with you!!

Now. You have to do something NOW.
So she shook him.
And there were the birds. And the grass. She looked up, and she thought she saw the sky. The noise, gone. It was like how it sounds when you’re listening to a recording of a cymbal being smashed, but played in reverse. An airlock opening, releasing everything inside all at once.
“What did you see?”
“Not much, this time.”
“Did you hear anything?”
“Yes, I heard…” and he paused, a vacant look in his eyes as he recalled the words.
“You heard what?” She was on tenterhooks. Did he hear the noise? Had any clues emerged whatsoever that would help them make sense of what was happening to them? She held her breath, waiting impatiently for him to recount whatever he’d heard whispered to him in the blackness…
“‘Who is that?’”

This picks up about 5 years after my previous work, "Star Wars: The Resolve Into Gray", a Post-TLJ slowburn Reylo told over 100,000 words. Plotty, canon compliant--some liberties taken. If you want to read IP, I highly recommend reading that first. :)

Summary
This is a re-imagining of some of the events of The Rise of Skywalker because I just cannot live with that ending.
It has been a year since the death of Luke Skywalker, and the galaxy has moved on. Jedi training complete, Rey now sits at the heart of a resurgent Resistance while Kylo Ren’s empire cements its grasp over the territories which have fallen under First Order control. But a new power behind the throne is rising, and it triggers a change of heart which seems far too good to be true…
He made to move around her and she blinked in surprise. ‘Wait – that’s it? You’re going to let me go just like that?’
He didn’t hesitate, stepping across the threshold and starting across the apartment in the direction of the door. ‘Of course. I can’t make you love me if you don’t want to.’
‘But...’ she stammered. ‘Aren’t you even going to try?’
Thumbing the door panel he turned back, just for a moment. ‘I’ve been trying all day,’ he said.
