The moon is high in the sky. Levi does not sleep. He thinks of Mikasa’s wails, her screams, the way she had begged. He looks over at Erwin, his face soft and lax, twitching occasionally. Maybe he is dreaming. He hopes they are good ones. Levi wonders what he would look like dead.
“Please,” he whispers, careful not to wake him. He touches his hair. “Please do not let me live after you.”
