After the mission, and subsequent destruction, of ZDR, Samus finds herself adrift among the stars. Her mind and body was no longer what it used to be.
Perhaps it's the restless nights full of memories, or the recent fight with the closest thing to a father she had left, but her will to go on had waned. Derelict, with no desire to protect the galaxy like she once did.

Princess Zelda. Ruler of a New Kingdom. Sealer of Calamity Ganon.
After spending one hundred years locked with the manifestation of long forgotten evil, she now has a duty owed to her people. Managing construction, costs, and records has the overworked Hylian fit for a change. Hopefully one that won't cause her more trouble then she already deals with.

Samus touches down on a frozen world to investigate the radio silence of a Federation research base. Short on cash and lured by an anonymous tip alleging a metroid presence in the facility, the hunter has no choice. She must hunt.
There was never any other choice, was there?
