Summary
Hiro always knew there were downsides to being a superhero. He knew he was sacrificing his time with his aunt, his grades in college, and his wellbeing just to protect his city. After coming face to face with Obake, inadvertently causing his demise, and discovering his body in the remains of his lair, Hiro realizes he's sacrificing more.

What was real? They couldn’t figure out which was true and false, reality melded into one superposition. If only if she’d stop watching.

Once again, Ash cared too much. Faced with practically a Physicist’s worst nightmare (rather wet dream), she would only hope she could crawl her way out this one. Past, present, future mistakes blended into infinite nightmare. How long till the ruse collaspes?

Summary
After defeating Trina, Hiro hopes for a little peace. However, things get a bit more complicated when his family's secrets come to light, all the villains escape from prison, people in San Fransokyo begin to mysteriously disappear, and the dead turn out to be very alive. As if that weren't enough, a new supervillain arises in the city. And this wouldn't be so unusual, except for all the signs telling Hiro he’s even worse than Obake.
And maybe, just maybe, taking a page out of Obake’s book is the only way to defeat him.
What if the lines between hero and villain begin to blur?

What if Globby failed to rescue Hiro, and instead had to rescue only himself? What if Obake's star machine went off without a hitch, killing millions of people, practically starting an apocalypse? What if Hiro was forced to become Obake's apprentice, thinking all his friends and family were dead? What if instead of giving himself more limits, Hiro listened to the arrogance inside of him.
I've had this idea for years, so I thought I might as well put it out there. Basically, it's like a corruption AU, with Obake becoming somewhat of a parental figure to Hiro, which Hiro is not happy about.
