“So that means that we’re not Seokjin and Namjoon anymore?” Namjoon was getting irritated and Seokjin wanted to cry out of frustration because that was the last discussion he wanted to have. He was drained, he just wanted some kisses and cuddles and then a good night’s sleep.
“That’s not what I meant.”
“Then what did you mean, hyung? A few days ago you wanted to cancel our plans because our parents were busy that day and we couldn’t find a babysitter. Now that I’ve found a solution, you want to cancel it because you’re not comfortable with the idea.”
Seokjin could tell that it wasn’t Namjoon talking, that it was the tension that piled over days and days and that was exactly why he tried to end the conversation. He didn’t have the strength to argue.

“Can you believe your parents have been married for twenty-five years?” Seokjin asked as they stopped at a red light and smiled in his husband’s direction. “Do you think we’ll get there?”
“I’m sure we will.” It was cute how confident Namjoon sounded and the writer struggled to press a sound kiss on his cheek before going back to driving. “We have only twenty more years to go.”
“Only twenty.” Jin repeated with a smirk. He couldn’t even imagine how different their life would look like twenty years from then. Taehyung was going to be twenty-four, he was probably going to be a college graduate and have his own, separate life. He liked to believe that he was still going to make time for dinner with them at least once or twice a week but there was no promise that was going to happen and because of that he felt some sort of strange melancholy.
