Yes, Bobby is dead, no, he doesn't come back. This is the most glorious bittersweet fic Ive ever read, where Bobby watches over his family from above the clouds. Beware, the last couple of chapters will destroy you! I cried solidly through the last 2 chapters and for 20 minutes after. I've read hundreds of 911 fics and cried 5 times. This is one of those times.

Zombie apocalypse AU. I loved this story so much I live blogged my emotional breakdown as the story progressed. Its so clever how the science is explained and the Buck's journeys (physical and emotional) are on point. It's stressful and action packed and brilliant!

“She said she wasn’t worried about us breaking up.”
Oh. Well. That was pretty definitively a thing that people said about partners who were together romantically.
“Say something,” Buck instructed.
“What?”
“Anything,” Buck said, his voice wavering on the word. Which was—it was weird, right? Why was Buck so shaken by a throwaway comment?
Or maybe the better question was why wasn’t Eddie? If either of them was going to get freaked out by the assumption that he was dating a man, it would make more sense for it to be Eddie, who was straight, and not Buck, who had, in fact, already dated men.
“Aren’t you going to be late for your shift?”

Buck and Eddie get shaken up by a comment from Theo’s social worker, and then by a magnitude 7 earthquake; it turns out, some disasters are better than others.

Eddie and Theo get caught in an earthquake and it ends with Oliver's 'Buddie's first kiss should be in the rain' idea! It's got Theo being cute, Chris being sassy, Eddie being the Theo whisperer and a natural disaster! I loved it!! The last chapter is the most perfect ending to a Buddie fic I've ever read!!! ❤️

His reflection is pallid, eyes dull. He’s lost weight, and somehow didn’t notice it until he looked in this mirror eight hundred miles away from the one he’s looked in every day for months. He notes that he’s split his lip open chewing on it, but his body doesn’t move to wipe that blood away. He shaved with Buck’s razor this afternoon before he put his funeral suit on, the one Buck bought for him despite his admittedly weak protestations, and he nicked the wing of his jaw. He was right earlier. The circles beneath his eyes are dark as plumbs.
There is something wrong with him.
Eddie tugs the sleeves of Buck’s sweatshirt down over his stiff hands before he goes back to bed, so at least if he starts bleeding again he won’t ruin Buck’s nice soft sheets.

Summary
“Memory loss?” Evan frowns, because he wishes he had memory loss. He remembers pretty much everything about the last three hellish months of his life. At least, what he was awake for. “Like, amnesia?”
“Exactly like amnesia. You seem to be missing a few years of your memory. You believe you are twenty-one years old, correct?”
“Y-yeah.” Evan nods, mind racing, searching for the memories the doctor is telling him he’s lost.
“You are currently twenty-seven years old.” The doctor says. “You’ve been living in Los Angeles for a while now, according to your boss. You met him earlier, although I’m not sure how much you remember.”
“The guy with the rosary?” Evan’s voice catches. He remembers the stranger vaguely. He remembers being scared.

Or: Buck is injured during a call and wakes up as Evan. Evan's last memory is being held captive by a cult leader who kidnapped him while he was living in Peru.

Amnesia Buck with a tragic past with a cult. Not for the faint hearted but utterly incredible. It broke me in so many ways, but it had a hopeful ending that helped heal me. An astonishing read (but read the tags!!!)
