Summary
Hanahaki Disease is an illness born of unrequited love, in which flowers bloom in the victim's lungs, causing them to cough flower petals. While relatively benign at first glance, the infection rapidly spreads throughout the body until it overtakes major organs and leads to the victim's death. It has only two cures: when the victim's feelings are returned, or through surgical removal, which has the unintended consequence of causing the victim's feelings for their love to disappear.

Jayce swallows and turns, braced for, well, he doesn't know what, but the room falls away from him at the familiar face and the long fingers shyly appearing as the petals unfurl. When they seem to deem their audience safe, there's a graceful motion of the bulb opening fully and a curious tilt of their head as they glide forward.
He had almost forgotten he wasn't alone when Jayce hears a voice behind him. "I didn't think I'd ever get to see this one's active phase, they are one of the shyer ones. You and I are the first to see V reveal themselves."
"V?" Jayce's voice is breathy, thinking about the fact that this isn't his first time, that the plant, that V was interested in him.
"Yes, seemed a little rude to just call them after their tank designation, and they all have a little bit of a personality, so, V."
Jayce looks down and sees the label that he hadn't thought much about, VI-K2-R6-5. It designates the location of the lab within their ship, one of hundreds of such labels he passes every day, but in context …
"Viktor." Jayce turns the code into a name in his mouth, and the glow in the tank brightens.

Riku gave Sora that look he had been giving him a lot lately. His lips curving up into half-smile, his eyes going soft. Sora tilted his head. Had Riku always looked at him like this?
Only days after Sora returns from his 7-month mission to rescue Kairi, the Heartless start acting up again, and Sora begins to have mysterious nightmares. Sora and Riku set out on a quest for answers.
A story about finally getting to travel the worlds with your best friend, learning to handle the darkness inside your heart, and slowly figuring out all of these confusing feelings.

Summary
They told stories of the Ghost Pirate, of how he was more darkness than a wraith, gaping darkness that swallows light whole. They whispered tales about how he was betrayed by his lover and how he'd cut out his own heart to avoid the pain, had locked it away no one could find it.
There was a scar on Riku's chest above where his heart should be, that much was true. The rest, though - only Riku knew that. Only he knew about sea gods and rituals, things that locked Sora away from the ocean until he was all but disappeared. And Riku needed to believe Sora was gone, or his missing heart would ache.
Trust Sora to deny him this.

Their skins were so close that Sora could feel the warmth coming off Riku’s, could feel the soft and tiny hairs that already touched. Maintaining eye contact, Sora closed the final inch.And the thing that had felt off-balance inside of him ever since they returned suddenly seemed to slot into place. Something tense that Sora hadn’t realised was there unwound, and that needy feeling he had been having for so long now suddenly felt eased, like the relief of drinking a large glass of cold water on a really hot day.
