Mirabelle begins to cry again, burying her face in her hands.
Siffrin doesn’t say anything for a moment, drawing back their hand as if they’ve been burned.
“No,” they whisper, “Not you too.”

Summary
Siffrin goes to fight the King alone, and loses.
Their party arrives, but ten minutes too late. They find a Sadness wearing Siffrin's face. And, distracted by the fate of their friend, they lose. The King defeats them all, and freezes the country.
And then, the King wakes up, wearing a stranger's face. He is in a field outside Dormont, in Siffrin's body, the day before the battle he just won.
What happens when the King is forced into Siffrin's place?

But as you get closer, you have to squint your eyes to make against the kneeling shape before the statue.
Eyes widening, you realize… it’s Siffrin, outlined in the dark.He is lowered to the ground before the shrine, holding tightly a miniature statue of the Change God, incomprehensible muttering leaving their lips.
