Abandon the life that haunts them at every step at the hands of neglectful gods? Or step up once more to save their home? Maybe the gods will learn to treasure what is within their grasp if it's taken away from them.
Or which I take the concept of Broken Pantheon, timeline of The Sea is Wine Red, and the main conflict of Peripeteia then smash them together before seasoning it with my headcanons

Summary
Annabeth, Malcolm, Will, Katie, Clarisse, Pollux, Connor and Travis get sent back to the winter solstice of 2005. Not to fix things, no, demigods never have it that good. Instead they have two choices, kill themselves inside their child bodies before the after party ends or their existences in their future gets erased to preserved the timeline. Oh, time is still moving on in their original time as well. With the Romans coming to invade Camp Half Blood and the doors of death in the process of being closed, it really wasn't much of a choice to begin with was it?
Or I give a bunch of theater kids (in soul) the ability to traumatize their parents back with no consequences in the most violent way possible. Yeah, it goes as well as you expect it to.

Summary
To be an immortal being is to watch time pass. To mark your life by events rather than the ticking of a clock. Athena is one of the unlucky gods, one who has a consistent events follow. The reincarnation cycle of her daughter, her firstborn, from life to death. From holding them in her arms to being forced to watch them die for her statue. And really, can you blame her for becoming callous?
Or, we see the effect sending your children to die for a quest for literally hundreds of generations
(Set in the headcanon that all of the bones in the Athena Parthenos quest were Annabeth's from previous lives)

Summary
There are a few simple facts in this world.
The sky is blue, grass is green and the Gods pop out demigods like they’re being paid by the litter.
Half-blooded children have been born, have lived and have died for centuries, tempering the gods' divinities and tempers with their own inherent, mortal softness. Some achieved greatness and glory, while others only received scorn and hate. Heroes have emerged, and villains have risen over and over again in an endless cycle.
But in another world, the Crooked One’s curse prevents any child born from a divine parent to live. Should they survive their birth, they will emerge monsters, horrendously deformed and destructive.
The Fates wish to rectify the second one. After all, who would notice a few threads fraying from one tapestry only to be rewoven in another?

Summary
Kronos knows how to convince the last demigods loyal to their parents to join his side. No one in modern times would fight for the Greek gods as they were in Ancient Greece. As long as he makes sure it does not affect the Olympians powers, his win is guaranteed. But he might have forgotten one little thing, the Ancient laws were not created without reason.

Summary
The "Defeaters of Apophis" find themselves in a bit of a pickle. If the jar was Ancient Greece and the other cucumbers were also de-aged children of myths.
Among the many, many issues of their current predicament, the Gods (well, the Greek ones) are both completely different and definitely murderous.
Burdened with the knowledge that the Greek deities are killing and hunting their children, the Kane siblings decide the only other safe place is the Egyptian Nome. Disguising the demigods as followers of the Path of the Gods, they return to find that it isn't just the Greeks who are different.
(Or: Through a series of misconceptions and near-death experiences, Sadie, Carter and their newly christened "Initiates" believe that the Broken Pantheon gods are murdering their children. Their attempts at hiding said Greek kids varies in success.)

A hand covered his mouth.
“SHHHH!” She was being not much quieter than he was but at least she removed her hand once she saw the side eye he gave her, “Some of these trees have been extinct since around the latest centuries of Ancient Greece.”
He looked around. It didn’t seem that different to him. He wouldn’t know though, it’s not like he knew every type of tree that went extinct. He could hardly tell spruce from pine, and pine trees were his father’s trees!
But there was one thing he did know: Annabeth knows everything.
Bile was building, he refused to acknowledge it, didn’t want to. Didn’t want to face the deep churning of unwelcome truth in his gut, “So…what does that mean?”
Knowing full well what it meant, but needing to hear it anyway, he braced for impact.
“We’re in Ancient Greece.”
