Summary
Tartaglia's hydro blades dematerialise as they roll on the wet ground, the sky storming above them and rain falling on fat droplets that keep them drenched. When they stop, he manages to somehow get himself on top, hands gripping Scaramouche's wrist and legs closed on his hips. For just a second, he lets himself taste a small triumph, no matter the huge amounts of cuts and bruises littering his torso and arms. He looks at Scaramouche, heaves, and gives him a cheeky smile.
Scaramouche smiles back, but it's mocking, malicious, with a glint in his eyes like he's the one with victory on his tongue.
"You're so fucking stupid."
Before Tartaglia can figure out what he means, he feels electricity burning through his veins, and his vision goes dark.
Tartaglia, tasked with the mission of retrieving the Electro Archon's Gnosis after Scaramouche deserted the Fatui, finally finds him after months of searching.
Things don't quite go as planned after that.

An apology hangs on the tip of Diluc’s tongue, but his mouth falls close before it could string words.

His head burns. Aside from the voice beckoning him back to consciousness, the first thing Kaeya is aware of is his fever. He’s shaking, he thinks, and his teeth chatter so violently it’s as though they’re trying to break free from his skull, but he feels like someone’s set him on fire. It’s too hot, too hot in this room, and he needs to get out.
“Kaeya? Please, fuck, open your eyes, let me know you’re okay. Please.”
He does. His vision is blurry, and everything seems undersaturated, but the face in front of him is all he can focus on. There are tears leaking from crystal blue eyes, and it terrifies him. Where is he? What… what did he do?

“Will you?” He asked softly. It wasn’t a challenge it was a question. A question Tartaglia knew the answer to. Diluc inched closer to the Harbinger, it seems he knew the answer as well.
“I can’t.” His voice shook. “I have to kill you, but I can’t.”
