Summary
With full dark eyes and a proud beam, Jimin let go of his hand with a quick shake. “Hyung, it was nice to meet you! I’ll see you soon,” and he pointed to the house next door to the new home, and it was the most wonderful fate.
Seokjin raced through the grass back to his mother, giddy as he pushed away his tiredness. The air was clean and he was smiling. His father had been right that maybe being eight meant there was more, not less.
He turned back just once, waved both arms over his head at Jimin’s diminishing form. The boy’s smile was still visible. “See you tomorrow Jiminie, and thank you!”
A musical return, an excited shout, “Seokjin-hyung! Tomorrow, and the day after as well!”

Summary
In a soft voice, eyes clear and open to the dawn, Seokjin said, “It’s beautiful, isn’t it?”
Jimin clutched their hands together as tight as he could, revelled in the feel of Seokjin’s skin against his own. He had not one care for the sun, did not notice how it flickered at the edge of his sight. His gaze was stuck, reverent, to the curve of lips in profile, of how dark hair was lit with golden highlights. Seokjin’s skin was dewy, his eyes were bright, and there was a haze of understanding clouding Jimin’s senses. He let out a shaking breath, half laugh and half wonder, prayed that Seokjin, ethereal and (for this moment) only his to enjoy the sight of, might not disappear. The sunrise was dreamlike, the snow a lover’s canvas.
He did not drag his eyes away, just pressed closer and replied, “Yes hyung, beautiful.”

Summary
As a child, Hoseok’s universe imploded when he lost his mother, was lost by his mother – three foot tall and crying, alone. He thought hope had left him too.
Some 20 years later, there was fondness in the tilt of his smile, love in the hand he now held on the beach, even as it was gripped, painfully so. There was knowing of this last sunset, when the sea and sky and all and everything would disappear before dawn. When the ground would crack and fall away beneath them.
Namjoon had carved their initials in the sand, told him he loved him with words. And then he had told him with a kiss, with a flow of tears. Said, “Seok-ah, I never wanted us to be a sad story.”
Hoseok had clasped his fingers tighter, replied, “It’s not just ours.”

Summary
“Hyung, does the world ending make you wish for something you should have done? Something you wanted?”
He could answer with so many things, a list as endless as the days he longed to have left. Seokjin had never skydived, as he had once said he would do, never walked the red carpet in his finest suit. He was not fond of travelling, but had visited Jeju-do two summers ago, and sworn to return. There were small wishes, for foods he’d never tried and films he’d never watched, and great hopes, for awards with his name engraved upon them, for a day with a child of his own. And then there was a secret.
“Jeongguk-ah”, he said, “I wanted to fall in love.”

Summary
And then, the man looked up. Jeongguk could not help but meet his gaze as he walked towards the path; it almost felt important to not break it. Stepping back onto the slick paving stones, and wiping a drop of water that had fallen on his forehead, he turned back down the hill. His feet were dragging. School, the busy city, every burdening thought was waiting. The past hour or so had been spent in a strange and mindless limbo with the man, and he did not wish to leave.
...
“Jeongguk, you’re late today!”He was there again, sat right out of any dream. But it was the genuine smile on his handsome face, his hand raised to greet, that had Jeongguk’s heart beating fast. He had a small hope that Seokjin was wanting him – his presence, his company – too.
