Five years ago, Regulus Black killed himself. Tonight, while out celebrating graduating collage, James Potter runs into him. What does Regulus do? Talk to his brother and explain that he was simply desperate enough to escape as to fake his death or essentially kidnap James with Barty and Evan until they can figure out what to do? The latter, obviously.

Regulus, after running from a life as a model, finds himself landing on Babylon ranch, owned by the one and only Potter family. Between his estranged brother, the rest of the ranch, and James Potter, who has a white-hot gaze and a restless temperament, Regulus isn’t quite sure where he fits in.

Summary
“Please, Sirius, be careful.” Remus shouts, watching the prince run off on the sand, his shoes in hand.
“Why, Remus?” Sirius calls back, turning around and smiling at his guard.
“The shore is dangerous.”
“And how could that possibly be true?” Regulus hums.
"This is where the pirates tend to dock themselves, not wanting to get too close to actual docks.”
“I sincerely doubt that there will be any pirates right now.” Regulus shakes his head, jerking his chin towards his brother then gesturing with his hand towards the ocean, “There is no one nearby, we would see a pirate ship.”
James hums, “Pirates are not going to dock their ship in a place that is visible.” He jerks his chin towards where Sirius is running, and Remus nods, “Only cocky pirates will dock themselves at an actual port and take someone there. Pillages happen in the night, and the ship is not to be seen until they leave.”
“Oh Jamie,” says a voice from behind them, “I’m wounded you should say that about us.”
...
James and Remus are pirates that went under cover as knights to kidnap the princes. Along the way, they happened to fall in love.

“That’s a great start to the conversation.” Regulus retorts.
“Oh, hush. So, the musical coordinator has been talking to your brother recently…”
“No. No. Absolutely not.” Regulus immediately shuts down.
“Reggie, listen. Your new movie is so highly anticipated that having The Marauders write a song specifically for it? Everyone will go wild.”
“I don’t care. I don’t want it.”
“Well, it’s not actually up to you. I’m only telling you as a nicety. The Marauders have already agreed.”
or, Regulus is the highest-paid actor of his generation, and when his brother's band agrees to write a song for his film, the brothers are forced to speak to each other again after seven years.

But now that's out of the way, The famous marauders au is just SO GOOD. Finished this way to quickly in my opinion. And the rosekiller? Dorlene? Wofstar? Marylily? Basically all the best ships whisked together into a masterpiece.
MAMA AND PAPA POTTER?! Effie is what i want in life. Give me an Effie and a Monty and i will never need anything more in life.
Love fics with marriage endings, this seriously just scratched all the mental iches I was looking for when filtering for a fic.10/10 would read again. And again. And again.(You get the point)
