It wasn’t supposed to be like this. Childe wasn’t supposed to get hurt.
At the exact moment of Childe’s death, another soul from a time away from his, enters Childe’s body to give him another chance at life. At love. Having no memory as to why he’s being imprisoned for the crimes he committed, he tries to make sense of the dark world he’s been thrown into. He remembers nothing. Not of who he is, or who he was. Though, he gets crazed snippets of worlds collided by both.

Summary
Something of a discovery is made in Liyue when an earthquake strikes Huaguang Stone Forest, causing a cave to open up at the base of Mt. Aocang. Researchers discover a man sleeping inside the cave, experiments are conducted but with no results, no one is able to find a way to wake him up. The people of Liyue, neither the government nor the Millelith, know what to do with him and decide to work with the Fatui in an attempt to keep him secure until he wakes up.
He is placed in a hospital for long-term maladies under the care of a particular nurse named Childe. Childe gives him the name Zhongli upon meeting him, and slowly, as he grows accustomed to his presence, begins to fall for Zhongli and prays for him to wake up, but he never stops to think about what would happen if Zhongli indeed woke up.
