Eggman laughed, ”Did you really think that you finished me off? You’ve underestimated the genius of Dr. Eggman for the last time!"
The Egg Shogun stomped forward crushing the already fallen Whomp King. He slashed his sword the Shining Yolk Blade across Bowser’s chest and sent him flailing backwards. As he did this, Metal Sonic who was piloting the Egg Emperor flew forth pressing the advantage against Bowser.
The Koopalings scattered, scrambling to defend themselves, as the full force of Eggman’s army advanced. Mecha Sonic Mk 1 blurred through the chaos, locking onto Bowser Jr, Bark the Polar Bear clashed with Boom Boom, and the Hard Boiled Heavies chased after the Koopalings.
The battle had begun.

After being revived by Sage, Eggman plans another war with Bowser and he'll stop at nothing to get the win that he so desired.

Summary
The monitors scattered throughout the facility turned black for a brief moment before the familiar crimson insignia of the Eggman Empire appeared with the text ‘Please Stand by’.
The room erupted in confusion and alarm. Restoration workers scrambled to consoles, engineers fumbled with emergency protocols, and Tails bolted to the main control panel, barking orders to the tech team. Above it all, Sonic remained leaning against the rail, his grin widening.
"Well, well," He said with an amused chuckle. "Speak of the devil. Let’s see what ol’ Egg for brains has been plotting!" He could feel that surge of excitement and adventure rise up within him.
"If you are seeing this," Eggman began, his tone uncharacteristically serious, “Then I am dead."
A stunned silence fell over the room. Even Sonic’s grin faltered for a moment, replaced by a raised eyebrow of genuine surprise. Amy’s eyes widened before shaking her head with disbelief.
Eggman continued, his image flickering as though the message were pre-recorded. "Yes, yes, I know what you're thinking. 'Is this some sort of trick?' Let me assure you, if this message is playing, then I have shuffled off this mortal coil.”

Sage was all alone.

Summary
It's been months since the invasion began, every attempt of taking the fight to Planet Fuse has failed. Mitarashi Anko is loud, obnoxious, vulgar, and scary. But she says what she thinks, and she thinks that Naruto's pranks are awesome, that Ino is both pretty and smart and potentially as cool as her dad, and that Shino had good taste in clothes and has a super-brain. So now the three kids want to be like her when they grow up, the original team assignments are shot, and half a dozen of Jonins are stuck unraveling this mess while Anko and her three pyromaniac are prancing around.
At least it won't be boring.
