It was rare.
Rare as in, something like this happens once a month and truthfully, Iza was fine with it. It was something he wanted to have happen, even if it meant he would have to give up some of his pride, but there was nothing wrong with what he felt. Especially now that he gets to have Izaya all to himself. Perhaps not in the sense of something emotional; God knew how he felt. And God wasn’t one to love one person. No, God loved everyone. He could never love one being.

There was nothing weird about wanting to celebrate a co-worker's, classmates and roommates birthday. Honestly, there wasn't exactly anything special with how Iza and Shizuwan would interact with each other. Didn't everyone go to the park and look at anything but the moon together? Go to a restaurant and feed each other only to make plans to come back together for lunch? And at the end of the day end up walking around the city together?
