"August 1st, Partner Appreciation Day.
A holiday almost always means a day off for agents. Rarely do these days take place at headquarters, but that doesn't mean they never happen. Throughout the building, agents were running around showering their partners with gifts, letters, and treats.
Owen leaned back in his chair, hands behind his head, and sneered. He observed that basically only those in the Investigation Department celebrated this holiday. Of course, agents in other departments could also have partners, but they were the exception, not the norm.
Usually he wouldn't care much for details like these; instead he’d beam at the mention of an upcoming holiday and cherish all his time off. Yet with all the recent major changes, he found the celebration of long-term partnership laughable."
